Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1. 

The Mayor is hereby authorized to issue and the City Controller to countersign a Warrant in favor of Michael W. Metzger, c/o Anthony J. Erlain, Esquire, Cercone, Erlain & Associates, Suite 700 Manor Complex, 564 Forbes Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA  15219, in the aggregate sum of $90,000 in full and final settlement of a claim filed in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County at GD 00-8980 relating to the City of Pittsburgh arising from the alleged personal injury sustained during a canine incident at the City of Pittsburgh Police Training Academy on or about June 17, 1998, and charge the same to Code Account 46, Judgements, Index Code 004606, Fund 1000, Sub. 170, Account 582200, Org. 999200 Budget Year 2002.
