WHEREAS, the Beechview Athletic Association is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, foundedin 1960, and
WHEREAS, the Beechview Athletic Association maintains its principal place of business and conducts its principal activities in the City of Pittsburgh, and
WHEREAS, the Beechview Athletic Association provides a safe, competitive, and fun environment for neighborhood children, with baseball, tball, softball, and soccer, and
WHEREAS, the Applicant desires to operate certain small games of chance and/or conduct raffles to generate funds to finance its operations and further its purposes, and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby recognize the Beechview Athletic Association to be a civic and/or service organization within the context of the Pennsylvania Small Games of Chance Act, as amended.
