Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Innovation & Performance to enter into a data sharing agreement or agreements and amendments thereto with the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority (PWSA), for each party to share certain data with the other, at no cost to the City.

WHEREAS, the PWSA has certain data in its possession which includes, but is not limited to, engineering maps, documents, Geographic Information System (“GIS”) data, and other data regarding the water, storm sewer, and sewage systems and infrastructure;
WHEREAS, the City has certain data in its possession which includes, but is not limited to, data related to City activities, infrastructure, and assets that may relate to PWSA activities, infrastructure, or assets; and
WHEREAS, the parties wish to enter into a data sharing agreement to facilitate sharing of data;
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. Authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Innovation & Performance to enter into a data sharing agreement or agreements and amendments thereto with PWSA, for each party to share certain data with the other party at no cost to the City.
Section 2. The agreements or agreements and amendments are subject to the approval of the City Solicitor as to form.
Section 3. Any ordinance or Resolution or part thereof conflicting with the provisions of this Resolution is hereby repealed so far as the same affects this Resolution.
