Title

Resolution authorizing and directing the Office of Property Assessments of Allegheny County to perform interim assessments of all real property located within the City of Pittsburgh beginning with the year 2009.

Body

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1.      Pursuant to Section 13 of the Second Class County Assessment Law, Act of June 21, 1939, P.L. 626, § 13, as amended, 72 P.S. § 5452.13, and any other applicable law, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby authorizes and directs the Office of Property Assessments of Allegheny County to perform interim assessments for the year 2009 and all succeeding years on all real property located within the City of Pittsburgh for the purpose of maintaining complete and current valuations of all real property and so that the owners of all parcels of real property contribute a uniform and proportionate share of the City's real property tax.
