Title: Now, Therefore, be it resolved that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and commend Reverend Watt for his commitment to the ministry, and his relentless dedication to our communities; and Be It Further Resolved, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby proclaim Sunday, November 29, 2009, to be designated, “Reverend Aaron L. Watt Sr.” day in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, Reverend Aaron L. Watt Sr., is a graduate of Westinghouse High School, as well as a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and American Baptist College.  Currently he is a student at Geneva College, where he is now working on his Degree in Community Ministry; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Watt committed himself and served six years in the United States Army.  As a young child, he attended Sixth Mt. Zion Baptist Church, located in the East End section of the City of Pittsburgh; and
 
WHEREAS, Reverend Watt is married to Damita and have four children, Aaron, Jr., Jazmene, Isaiah and Donald. Reverend Watt, Damita and their children joined Shiloh Community Missionary Baptist Church in 1999, where he became active in the Sunday School and later became a Sunday School Teacher; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Aaron Watt was called to Pastor the Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church. His compassion and vision has allowed him to be the perfect candidate to move the church forward.
