Title: WHEREAS, the Mt. Ararat Community Activity Center (MACAC) will hold its Ninth Annual Community Recognition Celebration on September 20th, 2007 and WHEREAS, MACAC was formally established in 1990 and is dedicated to helping East End individuals and families through outreach, ultimately strengthening communities; and WHEREAS, MACAC offers a number of programs and services to the community and promotes collaborative efforts with entities that are vital to the community; and WHEREAS, MACAC will recognized the following individuals as outstanding community leaders: Esther Bush, Urban League of Pittsburgh Yvonne Cook, Highmark Foundation J. Harold Hayes, Jr., KDKA Robert Hill, University of Pittsburgh NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh commends the honorees for their leadership and contributions to the community and thanks Mt. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby declares September 20th, 2007, "Mt. Ararat Community Activity Center Community Recognition Celebration Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.
