WHEREAS, City League Baseball Champions - the Obama Academy of International Studies Eagles Baseball Team, has once again demonstrated exceptional dedication, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the 2025-2026 season. Their achievements include an overall 15-6 record, 9-0 City Conference record, the 1st team ever to give up “0” runs in a conference, District 8 League Champions, and 9 players selected to the All-City Team; and
WHEREAS, Head Coach James Helterbran and Assistant Coaches William Helterbran, Joe Ehman & Kim Ehman, inspired this gifted team by teaching the importance of dedication, sportsmanship and commitment; and
WHEREAS, the team’s 2025-2026 roster made up of exceptional students (Seniors) - Roman Gray (City MVP), Elijah Rawlings, Caleb Myers, (Juniors) - Braylon Johnson, Jack Mullin, James Lozecki, Jordan Brazier, Emerson Bahler, Emilio Leonardo, (Sophomores) - Noah Feth, Elias Shope,, Luke Ehman (City CY Young winner), Aidan Graham, (Freshmen) - Brennan Clark & Noah Long - all exemplify leadership, resilience and unity; and
WHEREAS, through rigorous training & a commitment to excellence, the Obama Academy of International Studies Eagles Baseball Team has risen to meet every challenge, culminating in an historic & unforgettable season. This team continues to empower its students to break barriers and strive for greatness, proving that through discipline and character, our youth can reach the pinnacle of success; and

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby congratulate the Obama Academy of International Studies Eagles Baseball Team for their remarkable achievement as the City League Baseball Champions.
