Title
Resolution directing the Mayor and the Director of Personnel and or the Director of Finance not to withdraw additional funds from employees for increased Healthcare employee contributions and to freeze the current amount withdrawn at the 2002 levels for nonunion employees and only those bargaining units that currently make employee contributions for healthcare coverage, for the year 2003.
Body
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
 
Section 1.  The Mayor and the Director of Personnel and or the Director of Finance are hereby directed not to withdraw additional funds from employees for increased healthcare employee contributions and are further directed to freeze the current amount withdrawn at the 2002 levels for nonunion employees and only those bargaining units that currently make employee contributions for healthcare coverage, for the year 2003.
 
Section 2. Whereas nothing in this resolution shall be construed as to limit current or future negotiations between the Administration and the City of Pittsburgh's collective bargaining units.
 
Section 3.      A commission appointed by the Council President to study this issue shall convene the first week of January 2003, and shall report back to Council within ten (10) working day.
 
NOTE: I do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance duly engrossed and certified, was delivered by me to the Mayor for his approval of disapproval and that the Mayor failed to approve or disapprove the same, whereupon it became law without his approval, under the provisons of the Act of the Assembly in such case made and provided.
