WHEREAS, in the words of Teddy Roosevelt, "far and away the best prize in life that life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing." Olin McIntosh's life has been filled with work worth doing and done enthusiastically; and,
WHEREAS, Olin McIntosh, born and raised on the Northside , is the father of four adult sons, twelve grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Olin is a product of Pittsburgh Public Schools , a graduate of Allegheny High School and a graduate of LaRoche College with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. He plans to pursue his Master's Degree in Education beginning September 2015; and,
WHEREAS; a United States Army Reservist since September 1982, Olin started as a Non-Commissioned Private 1st Class and progressed steadily through the levels of E-8 to Master Sergeant and retires with an Honorable Discharge in September 2015 after 30 years of military service. During those 30 years, he traveled all over the United States as well as Korea, Germany and Japan. He was a member of the 316th Expeditionary Sustainment Command Unit which has mission logistical command of all Army Reserve Units from Maine to PA totaling 89 units and 8000 soldiers as well as specialized capabilities for Domestic Disaster Relief when state- side. Olin served in Operation Iraqi Freedom in Iraq in 2007-2008 and in Kuwait in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2012-2013; and,
WHEREAS, Olin McIntosh was a High School Guidance Counselor and has operated his own private Behavioral Therapy consulting business. He spends his free time coaching in a Boy's/Men's Summer Basketball League and also spends his time mentoring, inspiring and motivating high risk males to finish high school, go to college , to not become teenage fathers and to pursue their dreams ; and,
WHEREAS, Olin's personal interests and passions include refurbishing and reprogramming computers and fixing foreign cars such as Lexus, BMWs and Mercedes Benz. He is an avid S...
