Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of the Office of Management and Budget of the City of Pittsburgh are authorized to execute relevant agreements with the U.S. Department of the Treasury for the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021 in the amount of EIGHT MILLION NINE HUNDRED FORTY-SEVEN THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED dollars and FIFTY cents ($8,947,600.50) to fund an emergency rental assistance program. Not less than 90 percent of awarded funds must be used for direct financial assistance, including rent, rental arrears, utilities and home energy costs, utilities and home energy costs arrears, and other expenses related to housing. Remaining funds are available for housing stability services, including case management and other services intended to keep households stably housed, and administrative costs. Monies from the Treasury shall be deposited into account string 1226220121.45703.00.
Section 2. The Mayor and the Director of the Office of Management and Budget of the City of Pittsburgh are further authorized to enter into agreements, or contracts, or utilize existing agreements or contracts at a cost not to exceed EIGHT MILLION NINE HUNDRED FORTY-SEVEN THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED dollars and FIFTY cents ($8,947,600.50) for direct financial assistance including rent, rental arrears, utilities and home energy costs, utilities and home energy costs arrears, and other expenses rela...
