Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1. The Mayor of the City of Pittsburgh and the Director of the Department of Public Works are authorized to apply for grant funding from the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) Community Conservation Partnerships Program (C2P2) to provide funding for renovations to the Townsend Parklet. In the event the grant is awarded, this resolution provides for an agreement and expenditures not to exceed TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($200,000.00) dollars for this stated purpose.

Section 2. The Mayor and the Director of Public Works of the City of Pittsburgh are further authorized, provided this grant is awarded, to enter into an Agreement, or Contract, or utilize existing Agreements or Contracts, in a form approved by the City Solicitor and not to exceed an additional TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND ($200,000) dollars cash match, for the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) Community Conservation Partnerships Program (C2P2) to provide funding for renovations to the Townsend Parklet chargeable to and payable from the 2017 capital budget account 4024100217.50000.00 Fund 40017 PLAY AREA IMPROVEMENTS. The total amount of the contracts shall not exceed FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND ($400,000) dollars....
