Title

Resolution authorizing and directing the Administration to solicit input from community and neighborhood organizations of the City of Pittsburgh on the services and projects needed in their area and create a comprehensive report to be presented to the Council of the City of Pittsburgh.

Body

Be it resolved that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  The Council of the City of Pittsburgh authorizes and directs the Administration to solicit input from community and neighborhood organizations of the City of Pittsburgh on the services and projects needed in their area and create a comprehensive report to be presented to the Council of the City of Pittsburgh.

Section 2.                     The Administration is to request lists of needed projects from the community groups and neighborhood organizations throughout the city.  The lists are to be separated into those problems/projects that legally fall within the realm of city maintenance and those that do not, and the submitting organizations notified of those that do not.

Section 3.                     The remaining projects falling within the realm of city maintenance are to be compiled into a comprehensive citywide list that prioritizes the projects and includes the projects' projected costs.  The list should also include an estimated start date for each project.

Section 4.                     The completed report is to be presented to Pittsburgh City Council not later than the 2003 Budget Hearings held in November and December 2002.
