Resolution vacating a portion of Sassafras Way in the 6th Ward, 7th Council District, of the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, it appears by the petition and affidavit on file in the Office of the City Clerk that the owners of all the property fronting or abutting on the line of Sassafras Way in the 6th Ward, 7th Council District of the City of Pittsburgh, have petitioned the council of the City of Pittsburgh to enact a resolution for the vacation of same, and
WHEREAS, said petition contains inter-alia, an indemnification of the city from any claims and from the payment of any damages whatsoever resulting to any properties owned by the petitioners or by and persons whatsoever, abutting or non-abutting, for or by reason of said vacation; therefore
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. That vacating a portion of Sassafras Way, 24' wide, between 28th and 29th Streets, adjacent to Lot and Blocks 25-L-24, 25, 32 and 80, containing approximately 5,519 square feet of area.
Beginning at a point at the northwesterly corner of Twenty-ninth and Sassafras Way at the line of land now or formerly of S.J.S. Development Company; thence from said point of beginning along the said line of land of the S.J.S. Development Company and the northerly line of Sassafras Way, South 49º 12' West a distance of 219.96 feet to a point at the northeasterly corner of Sassafras Way and the Twenty-eighth Street Bridge approach; thence south 40º 48' East, a distance of 24 feet to a point on line of land now or formerly of the Buncher Company and land known as Block No. 9 of the Springfield Farm Plan of the Denny Estate as recorded in the Recorder's Office of Allegheny County in Plan Book Volume 6, page 180; thence along said line of land of the said Plan of Lots and the said line of land of the Buncher Company and the southerly line of Sassafras Way, North 49º 12' East, a distance of 219.96 feet...
