Title
Resolution further amending Resolution No. 467 of 2004 entitled: Resolution authorizing the City to use grant monies received from the U.S. Department of Justice to enter into an agreement with LiveWave, Inc. to purchase robotic cameras and related equipment, software, and services for public safety purposes; by increasing the total aggregate amount from $495,947 to $1,114,716.92.

Body
Whereas, the City has previously entered into an Agreement to purchase “Virtual Perimeter” equipment, software, and services from LiveWave, Inc. (“Live Wave”); and

WHEREAS, Supplemental grant monies have been awarded and the City now wishes to amend the existing Agreement to increase funding for the purchase of additional equipment and installation services.


Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1. Resolution #467; effective October 7, 2004 which currently reads:

The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Safety are hereby authorized to accept the DOJ's offer for the City to participate in its Domestic Preparedness Equipment Support Program and to spend up to $495,947.00 in grant monies received by the DOJ for the purchase of cameras and related equipment, software and services. Invoices for such purchases sent to the City pursuant to the established procedures of the DOJ shall be paid from the Emergency Management and Homeland Security Trust Fund Account, Fund 2463, Org 213000, Sublcass 600, Account 544350, BY 2004. The Mayor and Director of the Department of Public Safety are further authorized to enter into an Agreement with LiveWave, Inc. to purchase said Virtual Permiter equipment, software, and services. The Agreement shall be in a form and substance approved by the City Solicitor.
