WHEREAS, the Squirrel Hill Baseball Association is dedicated to helping children learn about baseball, softball and life. Devoted to the values of character, Courage and loyalty, it is committed to promoting these values on and off the field; and,
WHEREAS, on August 19, 2018, the Squirrel Hill Baseball Association will host a team from Perth Australia as they visit several cities in the eastern part of the United States; and,
WHEREAS, the Perth Heat Colts qualified in 2013-2104 for the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA and has established a solid program of baseball skills, experiences and life lessons for their children which includes their Coach’s desire to afford them the same extraordinary, international experiences his previous teams had; and,
WHEREAS, the Perth Heat Colts will arrive in the United States and travel to several American cities before arriving in Pittsburgh to play their last games in the US against the 10,11 and 12 year olds from the Squirrel Hill Little League; and,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby give a hearty Pittsburgh Welcome to the Perth Heat Colts and their Coach, Steve Fish from Perth, Australia and wishes them a great experience in the United States and especially in Pittsburgh, PA.
