WHEREAS, Amazon has many employee-led groups called Affinity Groups designed to foster community and support among employees; and,
WHEREAS, one such group is the Warriors Affinity Group. Warriors offers community, professional development, and advocacy for veterans and military spouses across Amazon’s workforce. Warriors at Amazon helps veterans transition to civilian careers, fosters inclusive work environments, and empowers veteran employees to grow their careers at Amazon; and,
WHEREAS, the Warriors affinity group at Amazon has chapters around the world. One such employee group is at Amazon Distribution Center PIT5 located in Fairywood; and,
WHEREAS, the Site Leader at this location is Brian Crawford and the two Area Managers organizing the Warriors Chapter are Mario Rubino and Joshua Robinson; and,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize Amazon PIT5 and the Warriors Affinity Group and the pride they give to veterans and military spouses across the country; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Wednesday, July 23, 2025 to be “Amazon PIT5 and Warriors Affinity Group Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
