Ordinance amending Ordinance 223 of 1911 in order to grant the City’s Department of Mobility and Infrastructure limited authority to permit installation of overhead wires or poles on certain portions of Kinsmen Road and on Worth Street located in the 14th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh.

The Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby enacts as follows:

 

Ordinance 223 of 1911 is hereby amended as follows:

 

Section 1.                     Be it ordained and enacted by the City of Pittsburgh, In Council assembled, and it is hereby ordained and enacted by the authority of the same, That all persons, firms or corporations are hereby prohibited from erecting or maintaining overhead wires on Kinsman Road, between Dallas Avenue and Wilkins Avenue; and on Worth Street, between Kinsman Road and a point on said Worth street distant one hundred fifteen (115) feet northwardly from Kinsman Road. Said streets being located in the plan of lots known as the Hamnett Plan of Lots, situated in the Fourteenth Ward, City of Pittsburgh.

 

Section 2. All persons, firms or corporations are also prohibited from erecting or maintaining any poles upon said streets except only poles to which lights are attached.

 

Section 3.  The restrictions of Sections 2 and 3 are subject to the regulatory operations and permitting of the City’s Department of Mobility (“DOMI”) that may grant such uses if determined by DOMI to be in the best interests of the City of Pittsburgh.
