WHEREAS, eleven years ago Post-Gazette reporter-columnist Gary Rotstein and theatre maven Chris Rawson joined forces to write and produce this annual musical satire, which benefits various local charities; and
WHEREAS, this riotous event has raised $248,000 for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, and some big cash for other organizations, too; and
WHEREAS, augmented by tasty samplings from various Pittsburgh eateries before the show, the evening every year satisfies our thirst, hunger, and funny bone; and
WHEREAS, Off The Record XI is entitled "No Fracking Way!" and features emcee Ken Rice and guest humorist County Executive Dan Onorato, and we won't mention Councilwoman Natalia Rudiak, and will hit the boards Thursday, October 6, 2011, at the Byham Theater, Downtown; and
WHEREAS, as we proclaimed last year, Elsa Maxwell said, "Laugh at yourself first, before anyone else can"; and
WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh is often in a laughable condition, but of course, that's Off The Record;
Title
