WHEREAS, Robert Agbede is a respected and innovative entrepreneur, known for his creative ability and passion for improving business; and,
WHEREAS, Robert Agbede exhibits excellent leadership skills and is a forward thinker unafraid of nurturing the next up and coming cutting edge leader; and,
WHEREAS, Robert Agbede, a Nigerian native, is the head of Chester Engineers, Inc, headquartered in Moon and has had the foresight and ambition to make the world a better place while remaining mindful and considerate of the world around him; and,
WHEREAS, Robert Agbede has been named the 2012 National Society of Black Engineers Golden Torch Award Recipient for 2012, recognizing his efforts to make Chester Engineers the largest black-owned environmental and engineering design company in the United States and the largest water and wastewater treatment plant design and management company in Western Pennsylvania; and,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and commend Robert Agbede for his innovation, inspiration, persistence and work ethic and congratulates him on being honored with the 2012 Golden Torch Award.
