Title
Resolution authorizing the acceptance by the City of Pittsburgh of the dedication of 35 parcels to the public right of way in the 1st, 3rd, 7th, 8th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 21st, and 22nd Wards of the City of Pittsburgh (Council Districts 1, 6, 7, 8 & 9) at no cost to the City.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh requests authorization to accept the dedication the indicated parcels contained within the public right of way, which the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure has confirmed are already functioning and maintained as City-owned right of way; and
WHEREAS, the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh (URA), as the current owner of these parcels, desires to dedicate them at no cost to the City of Pittsburgh for continued use as public right of way.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh believes that the proposed conveyance is in the best interest of the City of Pittsburgh and desires to give its approval in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Redevelopment Law.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Directors of the Department on Finance and Department of Mobility and Infrastructure on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh are authorized to execute all relevant documents to accept from the Urban Redevelopment Authority certain dedicated public right of way parcels listed and described further in Section 2 and Section 3 of this resolution.
Section 2. The dedication of the following parcels is hereby accepted:
i. Block 002-N, Lot 297 in the 1st Ward of the City of Pittsburgh
ii. Block 009-S, Lot 181-A in the 3rd Ward of the City of Pittsburgh
iii. Block 009-R, Lot 099 in the 3rd Ward of the City of Pittsburgh
iv. Block 010-N, Lot 500 in the 3rd Ward of the City of Pittsburgh
v. Block 084-M, Lot 222 in the 7th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh
vi. Block 084-E, Lot 043 in the 8th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh
