• Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh is pleased to host these international visitors as they travel through our City, AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and welcome Mayor Reszka of Blonie and Mayor Gargano of Coreno Ausonio.

WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh has cultivated many relationships with other cities and government officials across the country and around the world; and,

WHEREAS, those relationships help build mutual understanding and trust through the exchange of ideas in education, industry, culture, and politics; and,

WHEREAS, by connecting with our fellow global citizens we find that we share many of the same challenges and have many of the same goals; and,

WHEREAS, we are privileged to welcome to Pittsburgh Mayor Zenon Reszka of Blonie, Poland with his wife Barbara and Mayor Antonio Gargano of Coreno Ausonio, Italy with his wife Luisa; and,

WHEREAS, these visitors have come to the United States to visit Cleveland and Pittsburgh to celebrate the 50^th anniversary of the Italian-American Club of Cleveland; and,
