• Title: NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh declares August 7, 2006 "Greenfield Organization goes Golden with Oldies Day" and honors the organizers of this premier summer event for providing a venue for oldies music enthusiasts to celebrate their passion while raising funds for the Greenfield Organization and local youth groups in our community.

Whereas, the "G.O. goes Golden with Oldies" is the Greenfield neighborhood's summer golden oldies event; and  

Whereas, this annual fundraiser will take place on Saturday, August 26^th from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the beautiful Schenley Ice Rink and will include golden oldies music by Jerry's Records, as well as an appearance by Jerry himself; and

Whereas, the funds raised by this wonderful event benefit the Greenfield Organization and local youth recreation programs; and

Whereas, this annual fundraiser holds the distinction of having raised over $25,000 for local youth recreation programs; and

Whereas, we celebrate the absolute joy of listening to our favorite golden oldies tunes; and
