Title: WHEREAS, Across the nation, persons seeking relief during an emergency, as well as those seeking to report suspicious behaviors, unusual incidents and responding to the now common plea for citizen vigilance, 911 is immediately dialed; and WHEREAS, The Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials International, Inc. (APCO) is the worlds oldest and largest professionals organization dedicated to the enrichment of public safety communications; and WHEREAS, the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials International (APCO) celebrated April 8-14, 2007 as National Public Safety Telecommunications Week nationwide honoring the thousands of men and women who respond to emergency calls, dispatch emergency professionals and equipment, and render life-saving assistance to the citizens of the United States; and WHEREAS, locally we recognize the members of Allegheny County 911 Center who provide this invaluable service to the citizens of the City of Pittsburgh and Alleg...

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Pittsburgh City Council congratulates the employees of the Allegheny County 911 Center and thanks them for their dedication and service to the residents of the City of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County
