WHEREAS, On Thursday, September 28, 2006 the Pittsburgh Job Corps Center will celebrate the retirement of Mr. Charles Trail, who committed his professional life to public service with the U.S. Department of Labor, specifically with the Job Corps Program; and
WHEREAS, Charles Trail is dedicated to helping Pittsburgh youth discover a future full of prosperity, hope, and boundless horizons and with his guidance over the past 35 years he has helped Pittsburgh Job Corps grow from 200 men in 1972 to 850 men and women today; and
WHEREAS, Charles Trail's devotion and loyalty has created the "We are Job Corp" chant, replicating his beloved Penn State alma mater and has made us proud of the good works done by the Pittsburgh Job Corps Center; and
WHEREAS, Charles Trail has been an inspiration, mentor, and champion of the mission of the Pittsburgh Job Corps Center, changing lives, launching careers, strengthening communities and building character.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does herby recognize and congratulate Mr. Charles Trail for all of his hard work and dedication to the Pittsburgh Job Corp; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare September 28, 2006 "Charles Trail Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.
