Title: BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, July 8, 2014, to be “Lady Roadrunners' Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, The Pittsburgh Lady Roadrunners  is  a traveling fastpitch softball  non-profit organization now in its 13th year providing girls from Southwestern PA and surrounding vicinities the chance to compete at the highest class A level within the national governing bodies ASA, NSA, USSSA and Pony; and,  
WHEREAS,  currently the Roadrunners field teams in every age group  from 10u up to and including 18u serving approximately 100 young ladies from the Pittsburgh area all having been selected from tryouts; and,
WHEREAS, the coaches, members and players are extremely dedicated which is evident by the hours put in at skill training; clinics with nationally renowned figures such as Howard Kobata and Cyrstl Bustos; indoor fielding time during the winter months; batting cage work year round at our Training Center and outdoor practices at several local fields to which they have access; and,  
WHEREAS,  During the 2014 Season, Ralston 10u, undefeated and were runner-ups in the Father's Day Classic Championship;  Komara 12u won the Ohio Magic Tournament and the 2014  Edward Jones NSA qualifier 12u Champions; 14U Bell team went undefeated and won the ASA Spring Tune Up; 14u Terrell was runner up at the NSA State Tournament;  16u Elliot were runner- ups in the Memorial Day Classic;  18u Hall beat all teams en route to the championship in West Virginia; and,  
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,  that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby congratulate the Lady Roadrunners for their dedication to the sport of fast-pitch softball and for a great season;  and,
