WHEREAS, the Perry Traditional Academy football team, the Commodores, finished their 2003 football season with an overall record of 11 wins and 2 losses and went on to defeat previously undefeated Brashear by a score of 42 to 0 in the City League Championship Game. The Perry Commodores have won the City League Championship each of the past four years, and five of the past 7, under the direction of Coach Bill Gallagher; and
WHEREAS, the Commodores also progressed to the quarterfinal round of the PIAA class AAA playoffs; and
WHEREAS, the Commodores were led by seniors Caleb Miner, Scott Knapp, Brandon Lincoln, Paul Favers, Elliot Alexander, Vernon Young, Gary Lee, R.J. Williams, Gary Dozier, Nate Arnett, Mike Rey, Dave Kraus, Bryant Tunstalle, Chaz Kocher, and Keith Nemeth; and
WHEREAS, wide receiver and defensive back Paul Favers was named to The Post Gazette's High school Football Fabulous 22 Team; and
WHEREAS, The Perry Traditional Academy 2003 Football team is made up of:
