WHEREAS, Jacqueline's House of Beauty is an institution on Brookline Boulevard, providing hair and day spa services to the residents of South Pittsburgh; and
WHEREAS, Jacqueline's House of Beauty has been a fixture on Brookline Boulevard since 1994,
WHEREAS, the owner of Jacqueline's House of Beauty, Jacqueline Capatolla, is a member of the Brookline Chamber of Commerce and the South Pittsburgh Development Corporation; and
WHEREAS, Jacqueline Capatolla has recently opened a second location, Jacqueline's Hair Salon, just steps from the City-County Building on Grant Street; and
WHEREAS, she is in the process of authoring her own book on entrepreneurship in an effort to aid other people in starting their own businesses; and
WHEREAS, the Women's Small Business Association was an organization founded in 2007 with the goal of fostering women's economic independence by helping them develop skills needed for entrepreneurial success through networking and education; and
WHEREAS, in keeping with that goal, the Women's Small Business Association has awarded Jacqueline Capatolla the 2012 Best Business Woman in Pittsburgh Award.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh commends Ms. Jacqueline Capatolla on the occasion of her award as Best Business Woman in Pittsburgh.
THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, June 19th, 2012 to be Jacqueline Capatolla Day in the City of Pittsburgh.
