Title: NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh recognizes and commends these young men for their drive, energy and team work, and congratulates them on their achievement on the wrestling mat as the 2005 City Champions.

WHEREAS, having gone undefeated for the past three years, the Brashear High School wrestling team, claimed its third consecutive City League wrestling championship by defeating Perry High School 41 - 27 on February 3, 2005; and
 
WHEREAS, this third City League title brings the Brashear Bulls to a stunning record of 29 wins and 0 losses which is a city league record; as is having three un-defeated seasons and three consecutive championships; and
 
WHEREAS, Brashear is also the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association District 8 Champion and the first city League wrestling team to compete in the PIAA state playoffs; and
 
WHEREAS, the 2005 Brashear Bulls wrestling team consists of seniors Joe Barry, Skylar Hammond, T.J. Hanna, Bill Hazi, Shawn Hazi, Jacob Howell, Justin Klebba, Ryan Lancia, Brian Lopez, and juniors David Mizer, Matt Olean, and sophomores  James Barnaba, Jeren De Bardelaben, Bryan Nicelli and freshmen Joshua Nicelli and Dan Romaniello; and
 
WHEREAS, the adults who motivated these young men to excel are Head Coach Nate Geller, Assistant coaches Sean Burke and Terry Hanna and supported by Athletic Director James Daugherty and Principal Dr. Ruthane Reginella;
