Title
Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of Public Safety to enter into an Agreement or Agreements with five organizations to act as Stop the Violence community anchor institutions, at a total cost not to exceed TWO MILLION SIX HUNDRED TWENTY-EIGHT THOUSAND, SEVEN HUNDRED TEN DOLLARS AND FORTY CENTS ($2,628,710.40) over three years.
Body
WHEREAS, the ordinance governing the Stop the Violence Trust Fund allocates a certain percentage of funds to organizations that wish to serve as community anchors;
WHEREAS, such community anchors will aid in building networks and fostering community-led solutions to violence within their proposed area of work;
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Safety conducted a Request for Proposal process to request proposals for such organizations;
WHEREAS, the review committee recommends the below organizations to perform this important function.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of Public Safety, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to enter into an Agreement or Agreements with the following organizations to act as Stop the Violence community anchor institutions, at a total cost not to exceed TWO MILLION SIX HUNDRED TWENTY-EIGHT THOUSAND, SEVEN HUNDRED TEN DOLLARS AND FORTY CENTS ($2,628,710.40) over three years.
Section 2. Funds shall be chargeable to and payable from the Stop the Violence Trust Fund, JDE account 2100247700.53901.00.
Section 3. The authorized spend of each contract shall be as follows:
