Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and commend Attack Theatre for their unwavering devotion to the formation of a community where artists and audiences can come together as one and experience the joy of art; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare October 3, 2014 to be Attack Theatre day in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, Attack Theatre is an organization that seeks to develop a prosperous and educational relationship between artists and their audiences; and,
 
WHEREAS, Attack Theatre will be celebrating 20 years of staging a variety of performances and hosting arts education programs which have fortified the connection among artists, audiences, and the artistic community; and,
 
WHEREAS, Attack Theatre was founded in 1994 by Peter Kope and Michele de la Reza who have oversaw the production of over 150 unique, dynamic dance performances and hundreds of other collaborations with regional, national, and international art organizations; and,
 
WHEREAS, Attack Theatre is celebrating its 20th anniversary season with the performance of "Are You Still There?" at the Pittsburgh Coliseum in Homewood.
