Title: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh commends and thanks Chuck Frazier for his many years of dedicated service to the 13th Ward, the City of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby declares August 16, 2008, “Chuck Frazier Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, Charles "Chuck" Frazier has spent a lifetime working and organizing for the improvement of Pittsburgh's 13th Ward; and
 
WHEREAS, As a lifelong parishioner of St. Benedict the Moor Parish and a graduate of Schenley High School both being in the City's Hill District, Chuck chose to make the 13th Ward his home; and
 
WHEREAS, Chuck was the Deputy Constable under Euzelle "Bubby" Hairston for many years and has been the Head Constable for the 13th Ward since 2003; and
 
WHEREAS, Chuck is a Past Vice Chairman of the City of Pittsburgh Democratic Committee and is currently the Chairman of the 13th Ward Democratic Committee; and
 
WHEREAS, Chuck was last year's B-PEP Lifetime Community Committment Achievement Award recipient and is this year's K. Leroy Irvis Award recipient in addition to being this year's recipient of Mulberry Baptist Church's Leadership Award; and
 
WHEREAS, Chuck and his wife Rachel have 6 children and 10 grandchildren.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby declares August 16, 2008, "Chuck Frazier Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.
