Resolution directing the Director of the Department of Public Safety and the Chief, Bureau of Police, pursuant to § 211 of the Pittsburgh Home Rule Charter, to provide Council with a report detailing data on violent crimes committed in the City of Pittsburgh, disaggregated by age group, single years of age, gender of perpetrator, area of residence of perpetrator, age of victim, and location and neighborhood of crime no less frequently than quarterly.

Be it therefore resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh:
Section 1.
(a) The Director of the Department of Public Safety and the Chief, Bureau of Police, pursuant to § 211 of the Pittsburgh Home Rule Charter, are hereby authorized and directed to provide Council with a report detailing data on violent crimes committed in the City of Pittsburgh, disaggregated by age group of perpetrator, single years of age of perpetrator, gender of perpetrator, area of residence of perpetrator, age of victim, and location and neighborhood of crime.
(b) The scope of data in the first report shall be from January 1, 2024 until the present time. Successive reports with updated data shall be provided to Council no less frequently than quarterly.
(c) The first report shall be provided to the Council of the City of Pittsburgh by June 1st, 2026.
Section 2. Any Ordinances or Resolutions, or parts thereof, which are inconsistent with this Resolution are hereby repealed or superseded to the extent of the inconsistency or conflict.
