WHEREAS, on Saturday, November 4, the Keystone State Wrestling Alliance (KSWA), Pittsburgh’s official professional wrestling organization, adds 5 men to its prestigious Hall of Fame; and,

WHEREAS, now in its 16th year, the KSWA Hall of Fame has honored 46 Men and Women who have made indelible marks on the legacy of professional wrestling in Pittsburgh, Western Pennsylvania and the Commonwealth; and,

 

WHEREAS, this year’s inductees include Mt. Washington’s own “Mad Dog” Tony Lutz, the South Side’s “Irish” Red Walsh, the Hilltop’s “Beast” Ken Cerminara, Butler’s T.C. Reynolds, and Studio Wrestling’s Geto Mongol; and,

 

WHEREAS, during a fundraising event at the Mt. Washington Recreation Center in remembrance of Tanner Morton, friends, family and fans also recognize the contributions of these exemplary professional wrestling athletes and personalities. These men have helped pave the way for what the KSWA is today; and,

 

WHEREAS,  in addition, on this night the KSWA will once again honor Joe Abby, KSWA’s first Hall of Fame inductee, with a tournament named in his honor; and,  

 

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize the Keystone State Wrestling Alliance and congratulate this year’s inductees; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare, Saturday, November 4, 2023 to be “KSWA Hall of Fame Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
