Title

Resolution authorizing an amendment of the License Agreement between Adshel, Inc. and the City of Pittsburgh to permit advertising of alcoholic products on bus shelters in the City of Pittsburgh.

Body

WHEREAS, the current License Agreement, which does not expire until May 31, 2011, prohibits advertisements for alcohol products on bus shelters in the City of Pittsburgh; and,

WHEREAS, amending the current License Agreement to allow advertisements for alcoholic products on City bus shelters will increase ad revenues, and consequently increase revenues paid to the City, and therefore,

Be it resolved that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.      The Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby authorizes the Mayor and appropriate City officials to amend the current License Agreement with Adshel, Inc. to permit advertising of alcoholic products on bus shelters, said amended Agreement to be subject to the approval of the City Solicitor in form and substance.
