Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Finance and/or the Director of the  Department of Public Safety are hereby authorized to enter into a Lease Agreement or Agreements with Standard Holding Company and/or its assignees/transferees, of certain indoor and outdoor space of approximately 36,000 square feet located in the 21 Ward of the City of Pittsburgh at 1125-1127 Western Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA (the "Premises") for the purpose of storing equipment, materials, vehicles, and other items as needed by the Department of Public Safety.

 

A.                     The extended Lease Agreement or Agreements shall have an initial term of three (3) years with two (2) one year optional extensions.

 

B.                     The annual rental amount for the Premises (initial term) shall be an amount not to exceed Eighty Thousand Dollars ($80,000.00) per year, plus all applicable real estate taxes and utility charges.

 

Section 2.                     Stipulated rent and other amounts are to be chargeable to and payable from the following:

C.                     After the first year, annual funding is contingent upon City Council's appropriation for each subsequent budget year.

 

D.                     The extended Lease Agreement or Agreements shall be approved by the City Solicitor as to form and substance and shall, in addition to the terms stated herein, contain other terms and conditions deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
