Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works and/or the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure to enter into a License and Maintenance Agreement in which the City grants to Tree Pittsburgh a right to plant and maintain trees upon City property and/or Right-of-Way in specified locations Citywide.

WHEREAS, in partnership with local conservation groups, Tree Pittsburgh is applying for and has received various grants to advance the City of Pittsburg’s Urban Forest Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City seeks to restore Pittsburgh’s urban forests; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to permit Tree Pittsburgh to plant and maintain trees in upon particular City property and/or Right-of-Way; and
WHEREAS, Tree Pittsburgh seeks access to City owned property for that purpose of planting and maintaining trees upon particular City property and/or Right-of-Way; and
WHEREAS, the City has agreed to grant access to Tree Pittsburgh specifically for the purpose of planting and maintaining trees upon particular City property and/or Right-of-Way;
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and Director of Public Works, on behalf of the City, are hereby authorized to enter into a License and Maintenance Agreement with Tree Pittsburgh in which the City grants to Tree Pittsburgh a right to plant and maintain trees on City property and/or Right-of-Way in specified locations Citywide.
