Resolution authorizing acceptance by the City of Pittsburgh of the dedication of a portion of 5000 Forbes Avenue (53-B-50), in the 14th Ward, 8th Council District of the City of Pittsburgh, at no cost to the City.

WHEREAS, Carnegie Mellon University, as owner(s) of Lot and Block (53-B-50), located in the 14th Ward, 8th Council District of the City of Pittsburgh, wishes to dedicate a portion of Forbes Avenue, at no cost to the City, to the City of Pittsburgh for public highway and utility purposes.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The dedication of the following is hereby accepted: Forbes Ave (53-B-50);
All that certain right of way dedication, situate in the 14th Ward, City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, more particularly bound and described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the southerly right of way line of Forbes Avenue, S.R. 2108, variable width, said point being at centerline station 222+52.39 offset 30.00 feet right; thence from said point of beginning by the southerly right of way line of said Forbes Avenue and through lands now or formerly of Carnegie Mellon University S 13° 52’ 13” W a distance of 17.36 feet to a point; thence continuing through lands now or formerly of Carnegie Mellon University N 75° 26’ 17” W a distance of 80.90 feet to a point; thence continuing through same N 73° 08’ 00” W a distance of 332.00 feet to a point on the southerly right of way line of said Forbes Avenue; thence by the southerly right of way line of said Forbes Avenue S 75° 59’ 39” E a distance of 412.44 feet to a point, at the point of beginning.
Containing an area of 4,119 square feet or 0.945 Acres.
Section 2. This dedication shall include the grading, paving, lighting, curbing, traffic signals, street trees and public utilities located therein and fixing the width and position of the roadway and sidewalk thereof as public improvements of the City of Pittsburgh.
