Title: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Pittsburgh extends its warmest gratitude to artist Tom Mosser for his outstanding donation of time, effort and expertise, in helping make the Pittsburgh All-Stars Public Art Project a success, and showing visitors and residents of Pittsburgh that our city is STILL a thriving and rich center for arts, culture and industry.

WHEREAS, Mr. Mosser was selected to create large-scale, public art "stars" within the Pittsburgh All-Stars Public Art Project by a jury of arts professionals and the PASPAP steering committee;
 
WHEREAS, Mr. Mosser went above and beyond the parameters of the PASPAP participant requirements, completing not only three 8 foot stars depicting Roberto Clemente, Honus Wagner, and Willie Stargell, but also designed the 15 foot star depicting the diversity of Pittsburgh's citizens, that has been prominently displayed on the façade of the Pittsburgh Parking Authority garage at 9th and Liberty, downtown;
 
WHEREAS, in addition to completing this amazing quality and scale of work for PASPAP, Mr. Mosser also participated in a live painting demonstration at 7th and Penn Avenue in downtown in which he painted the Willie Stargell star in person during daylight hours for the thousands of Pittsburgh residents and out of town fans who filled the streets of downtown Pittsburgh during the All-Star Game's week of Festivities;
