Title
Resolution providing for the designation of City trails not in City Parks as part of the Three Rivers Heritage Trail System.
 
Body
WHEREAS, the Three Rivers Heritage Trail System is a trail system, and
 
WHEREAS, this Trail System will be promoted in maps, guides, web-pages and other printed materials increasing tourism on this trail system, and
 
WHEREAS, private funds can be leveraged for the development of new trail segments or for trail improvement such as "you are here" map signs, historical signage and site furniture for the Three Rivers Heritage Trail System and
 
WHEREAS, volunteers and in-kind resources can be utilized through the new Friends Of The Riverfront Licensing Agreement to aid in the maintenance, native tree plantings, garbage / recyclables removal, invasive plant species control, and graffiti along the Three Rivers Heritage Trail System.
 
Be it resolved by the council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
 
Section 1.      The City of Pittsburgh's riverfront trails and trail links both existing and proposed, and shown in Exhibit A are hereby designated as the Three Rivers Heritage Trail System.
