• Title: NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby congratulate and proclaims December 7th, 2006 "Dick Schubert" day in the City of Pittsburgh and celebrates his lifelong service to his community.

WHEREAS, on Thursday, December 7^th 2006 the Troy Hill Citizens Inc. organization  located on the North Side in Council District One will honor Dick Schubert; and,

WHEREAS, Mr. Schubert graduated from North Catholic High School, served as a Military Police Officer in the United States Army and is married with three wonderful children and two grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Schubert is a leader and outstanding lifelong resident of the North Side, a member and past Board Chairperson of Troy Hill Citizens Inc. for over 30 years, a lifelong member of Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish, past member of the Parish Council, served in the Ushers Club of Saint Anthony's Lyceum, Co-chairman of the Troy Hill Block Watch, the Board of the North Side Leadership Conference; and,

WHEREAS, Dick Schubert has devoted his time, energy and spirit to the wellbeing of the residents, neighbors and the North Side community; and that his skilled leadership has improved the quality of life for the people he serves.
