WHEREAS, Reverend Hubert D. Hutcherson is celebrating his momentous 35th Pastoral Anniversary at the historic Shiloh Community Missionary Baptist Church, marking three and a half decades of unwavering faith, visionary leadership, and profound pastoral care. Pastor Hutch - as he’s affectionately called by many, is a well-known, evangelist preacher whose leadership and guidance has increased Shiloh’s membership, licensed several ministers and ordained countless deacons and deaconess. In addition, Shiloh’s musical department has grown tremendously with added choirs and musicians; and,
WHEREAS, Pastor Hutch was called to ministry at Shiloh Baptist in June 1991 and has since ministered in many revivals throughout Western Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Georgia and Alabama. He’s a former President of the Clergy Division of the PA Baptist State Convention and the Convener of the East End Baptist Fellowship; and,
WHEREAS, Pastor Hutch has served not only as a shepherd to his congregation but as a pillar of strength in the broader community, championing initiatives that foster unity, support families, and uplift the underserved; and,
WHEREAS, in his spare time, Pastor Hutch enjoys a good game of golf and spending time with his children and grandchildren. His thirty-five years of dedicated service are a testament to his resilient spirit, profound wisdom, and a deep-seated commitment to walking in his divine calling, leaving an indelible mark on generations of believers; and,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare the 14th day of June 2026, to be “Reverend Hubert D. Hutcherson Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
