Title: WHEREAS, Anthony Randazzo was a Supply Specialist in the U. S. Army (Retired). As a Supply Specialist, he provided the Army and South Korean soldiers with clothing and worked very closely with the Red Cross; and,

WHEREAS, Anthony Randazzo was a Supply Specialist in the U. S. Army (Retired). As a Supply Specialist, he provided the Army and South Korean soldiers with clothing and worked very closely with the Red Cross; and,

WHEREAS, in 1957, he had the rare opportunity to see Bob Hope and Jane Mansfield when they visited Anthony’s battalion for a Christmas show; and,

 

WHEREAS, upon returning home in 1958, Anthony spent 27 years working for the City of Pittsburgh and a private consulting firm as a construction inspector; and,

 

WHEREAS, following his retirement from this career, Anthony worked for 23 years as a crossing guard for the Township of Mount Lebanon; and,

 

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend Mr. Anthony Randazzo and thank him for his selfless service to the United States of America; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare, Saturday, November 12, 2022 to be “Anthony Randazzo Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
