WHEREAS, Edward "Zeke" Fotta served with the United States Navy as a Petty Officer 3^rd Class from 1944 to 1947 in the Pacific on the Destroyer Escort, and

WHEREAS, Mr. Fotta has been a member of the Catholic War Veterans for 57 years with St. Gabriel's Post 1365 and has held several positions there, currently as Commander.  As Commander of the Post, Mr. Fotta has overseen the placement of over 4,000 flags on Veterans' graves on Memorial Day and

WHEREAS, Mr. Fotta is also a member of the Slovak Civic Federation of Allegheny County and holds the posts of Steward and Treasurer, and

WHEREAS, Mr. Fotta also served as a Eucharistic Minister at Allegheny General and Passavant Hospitals,
