Title

Resolution approving the recommendation made by the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure that the concrete portion of 9th Street, from Fort Duquesne Boulevard to Penn Avenue (heading North towards the Northside) be paved with asphalt in accordance with Section 417.06 of the Pittsburgh Code of Ordinances.

 

Body

WHEREAS, Section 417.06 of the Pittsburgh Code of Ordinances requires final legislative approval of City Council upon recommendation of the Director, Department of Mobility and Infrastructure (DOMI) to pave with asphalt a street that is currently brick, block stone, wood, or concrete; and

 

WHEREAS, 9th Street, from Fort Duquesne Boulevard to Penn Avenue (heading North towards the Northside) is currently concrete and the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure recommends that such streets have an overlay of asphalt; and

 

WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh wishes to advance the paving of the concrete portions of 9th Street, from Fort Duquesne Boulevard to Penn Avenue (heading North towards the Northside) from their origins to their termini with an asphalt overlay as recommended by the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure.

 

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1. The Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure is authorized to pave the concrete portion of 9th Street, from Fort Duquesne Boulevard to Penn Avenue (heading North towards the Northside) with an overlay of asphalt.
