WHEREAS, Stylish Pittsburgh highlights the vibrancy of our city’s neighborhoods and their unique cultures, traditions, and senses of style; and,
WHEREAS, Stylish Pittsburgh showcases the leaders and pioneers in our city who promote style through their passions, businesses, and special events; and,
WHEREAS, Stylish Pittsburgh celebrates the local designers and makers who demonstrate the entrepreneurial spirit vital to the City of Pittsburgh through their pursuit of style; and,
WHEREAS, Stylish Pittsburgh uses social media to showcase Pittsburgh’s unique and varied sense of style; a style that reflects the diverse population of residents in our city; and,
WHEREAS, Stylish Pittsburgh marks the beginning of Annual Sidewalk Sales in Shadyside and Lawrenceville that make style approachable and affordable, and engage the citizens of Pittsburgh in the world of style.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend Stylish Pittsburgh for promoting style in Pittsburgh and its neighborhoods, and for bringing attention to the efforts of style leaders and promoters in our City; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare July 29, 2015 to be “Stylish Pittsburgh Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
