Resolution providing that the City of Pittsburgh enter into a professional service Contract or Contracts for the purpose of providing professional legal services in connection with the defense of certain worker's compensation matters and claims brought against the City under the Workers' Compensation Act and providing for the payment of the cost thereof. Cost not to exceed $278,000.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of Personnel and Civil Service Commission, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to enter into a Contract or Contracts, in a form approved by the City Solicitor: for the purpose of legal counsel for defense of workers' compensation and Heart and Lung Act claims, to include subrogation, against the City at a cost not to exceed $278,000 (Two Hundred Seventy Eight Thousand Dollars) chargeable and payable from Account 574600, Fund 1000, Organization 999300, Sub Class 040, and Budget Year 2008, Department of Personnel and Civil Service Commission.
