Resolution authorizing a Cooperation Agreement or Agreements with Allegheny County Economic Development to collaboratively manage non-congregate shelter services related to the HOME-ARP program, at no cost to the City.
Body
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”) has awarded the City $8,354,476-Eight Million, Three Hundred Fifty-Four Thousand, Four Hundred Seventy-Six Dollars, in HOME Investment Partnership Program - American Rescue Plan (“HOME-ARP”) funds for fiscal year 2021; and
WHEREAS, the City has allocated $1,500,000 - One Million, Five Hundred Thousand Dollars of HOME-ARP funds to a joint project expanding the non-congregate shelter services supplied by Auberle (“the Project”); and
WHEREAS, Allegheny County Economic Development has allocated $1,500,000 - One Million, Five Hundred Thousand Dollars of HOME-ARP funds to the Project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County wish to cooperate on processes related to the Project; and
WHEREAS, both the City of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County wish to enter into a cooperation agreement in order to memorialize respective responsibilities toward the Project.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of the Office of Management and Budget, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to enter into a Cooperation Agreement or Agreements with Allegheny County Economic Development, on behalf of Allegheny County, to collaboratively manage non-congregate shelter services related to the HOME-ARP program, at no cost to the City.
Finally, that any Ordinance or Resolution or part thereof conflicting with the provisions of this Resolution, is hereby repealed so far as the same affects this Resolution.
