Title: WHEREAS, the Neighborhood Academy Class A Boys Basketball Team (the "Bulldogs"), has demonstrated exceptional dedication, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the 2025-2026 season. The Bulldogs achievements include an overall 25-4 record (55-5 over the last two seasons), Class A Section 2 champions for the 2nd straight year, back-to-back WPIAL Class A championships, as well as PIAA runner-up; and

Title

WHEREAS, the Neighborhood Academy Class A Boys Basketball Team (the “Bulldogs”), has demonstrated exceptional dedication, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the 2025-2026 season. The Bulldogs achievements include an overall 25-4 record (55-5 over the last two seasons), Class A Section 2 champions for the 2nd straight year, back-to-back WPIAL Class A championships, as well as PIAA runner-up; and

 

Body

WHEREAS, led by Head Coach Jordan Marks, Assistant Coaches Yoni Eglash, Jackson & Henry Blaufeld, Nick Rivers, Chris Warzzurenski, Athletic Director Gary Shawley, & Athletic Trainer Steve Halle -inspired this gifted team by teaching the importance of dedication, teamwork, sportsmanship and commitment; and

 

WHEREAS, with the team’s GPA of 3.65, the Bulldog’s 2025-2026 roster made up of exceptional students Julius Page, D’Andre Green, Khy’Mir Davis, Dante Wright, Amaree Coleman, Derrick Hardenman, Kedron Gilmore, Dre’Air Mack, Eymir Wilkins, Yasir Stribling, Trey McMurray, Elijah Cunningham, Zyerre Pettus, Elijah Cunningham, Mitchell Davis, Elijah Turner - all exemplify the Neighborhood Academy’s mission of leadership, resilience and unity. Kedron Gilmore scored 1000 points as a junior & was named Tribune Review’s Class A Player of the Year. Derrick Hardenman is the school’s all-time leader in blocked shots & has been accepted to MIT, Duke and Carnegie Mellon University; and

 

WHEREAS, through rigorous training, teamwork & a commitment to excellence both on and off the court, the Bulldogs have risen to meet every challenge, culminating in an historic & unforgettable season. The Neighborhood Academy continues to empower its students to break barriers and strive for greatness, proving that through discipline and character, our youth can reach the pinnacle of success and

 

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby congratulate the Neighborhood Academy Boys Basketball Team on their remarkable achievements.
