Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare the June 3rd, 2025, to be "Anna "Teenie" Pearl Taylor Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, Anna (nee Annie) Pearl Taylor, affectionately known to family and friends as “Teenie”, was born on June 3rd, 1939, in Sylacauga, Alabama.  Anna attended Sylacauga High School and relocated to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1958 and,

 

WHEREAS, On February 7th, 1959, Anna was united in matrimony to Bernard Taylor, Sr. and in lieu of their 50th wedding anniversary, Mayor Luke Ravenstahl gave the beautiful couple a proclamation to celebrate the significant martial milestone and,

 

WHEREAS, Teenie’s home was the heart of family gatherings, her legendary friend chicken and barbecue-never leftovers-she created a warm and festive atmosphere during the holiday season.  A devoted member of Sixth Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Tennie faithfully served as President of the Ushers and sang in both the mass and gospel choirs and,
