Title: WHEREAS in the Fall of 2006, Seneca Foods Corporation of Marden-Kane, Inc. sponsored a, "Libby's Love of Learning" contest for the thirteen markets located within their region of commerce; and WHEREAS all contestants were required to enter their own renditions of a previously publicized Libby's jingle, while also including a second verse of their own; and WHEREAS Cortney Pasko, music teacher of Dible Elementary School in Penn Hills, challenged her students to participate in the contest, assisting five of her students in recording their own variations on a Libby's jingle; and WHEREAS on November 22, 2006, fourth grader, Bria Williams, daughter to Okeyta and Quinn Williams, was announced as the Grand Prize Winner of the Pittsburgh market's contest, thereby receiving a five thousand dollar U.S. savings bond, in addition to a five thousand dollar award for the benefit of Dible Elementary School; and WHEREAS Bria recorded her jingle for a Libby's commercial at radio station WA...

WHEREAS on December 20, 2006, at the Dible Elementary School Holiday Concert, Bria was honored and preformed her jingle for an audience of her peers, family and guests.
 
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby wish to congratulate Bria Williams on her noteworthy accomplishment, while also commending her for her musical talent and her creative spirit.
